There is something DIY about David Edwards' paintings and something very, very natural. The composition lacks pomposity and unnecessary affect. The key here I feel is that the artist knows the area well and captures the harshness yet subtle beauty therein. Anyone familiar and in love with Portland Bill will recognise this captivating quality for sure.
